NGC 5297

M. Blauensteiner noticed a faint galaxy in a distance of ~10 arc minutes under a position angle of 287 degrees (W-N-W). The contrast enhanced image shows very clearly a dwarf companion. Further investigations like searching in literature and consulting the well-known data bases around this position gave no hints about an actual known galaxy at this position. The coordinates are: (J2000.0) RA: 13 h 45 min 29.3 s, DEC: +43° 55′ 01″.
